Albert Latham
Welcome to my website and online portfolio. My name is Albert, and I am a Games Development graduate from SAE in Sydney.

I have been playing games for my entire life. I design games, I write about games, I stream games and I also love to talk about games.
​
I finished high school in 2010 and immediately began my higher education at Macquarie University. I got my first taste of studying games in an elective unit in my science degree. It stayed at the back of my mind for a number of years.
So here I am now, finished with my studies at SAE, and am looking towards my next step of continuing my higher education.
​
Another major goal of mine is to establish myself as a streamer in the industry, and use this to eventually promote my own games, host developer commentaries, and offer insight into the life of a developer. I have begun live-streaming on Twitch already, and have begun building my online presence through Twitter, YouTube and Facebook.
​
During my time at SAE, I have learnt so much about myself, writing about games, developing games, and working in teams. The collaborative approach to assessments has been a very positive experience, and I've had the chance to demonstrate my greatest strengths in design, and learn from fellow group members and teachers on different workflows, techniques and practices for the industry.
​
During my studies, I have taken particular interest in level design, audio design, and working with real time VFX. I have also enjoyed scripting using C#.
​
I also genuinely enjoy researching the industry as a whole, and I hope to one day write papers and journals about problems that need addressing, social issues and a variety of other topics to help grow games in the academic world.
I also have a passion for creating music, amateur astronomy, skateboarding, martial arts and cats.
I will continue to update my portfolio section with projects, documents and essays which I have produced over my time at SAE, and even beyond.
